Scenario: Nordenwatch
Scenario type: Capture & Hold

The Basics

The basic concept in the Nordenwatch senario is quite simple. The goal is to capture locations (Lighthouse, Barracks, and the Fort) in order to gain points. The team that reaches 500 points first is the victor. Upon the initial capture of the Lighthouse and the Barracks the capturer's team will gain 15 points. The keep, the most essential of locations, will net the capturing team 30 points upon the intial capture. Each of these locations will net the holding team 2 points per "tick".

Ex. If Order is holding both the lighthouse and the fort they will gain a total of 4 points per "tick". On the other hand Destruction will only be holding the barracks thus netting them 2 points per "tick".

Strategy

When the timer counting down to the start hits zero activate Flee. Do this sooner rather than later so that when you reach combat you are prepared. With that being said you're going to want to get to the fortress as quickly as possible. A lot of players will want to stop and cap either the Lighthouse or the Barracks first (depending on Order or Destruction), but you need to get to the fort. That is absolutely essential. What you want to do is leave one person to capture the point while the rest charge on. If you're the last person to cross the location and no one else is there then you're going to have to do it.

As you are closing in on the fort Order will see a bridge that will lead them over a small gap, and destruction will see a path in between some rocks and a piece of the fortress. It is important that your team gets passed these bottlenecked points because they will force you to ball up, decrease the efficiency of kiting, and target selecting will be a real pain. With this being said make sure you rush into the open area around the flag. Even if the opposing side is there you need to do this. Fighting around the flag is the most opportune place.

Once combat begins select priority targets or targets that are low on health. Select priority targets as follows:

1. Healers
2. Casters
3. DPS
4. Tanks

Too many times I see my fellow players chasing tanks around while they enemy casters are standing almost unafflicted in the back. Don't let those squishies get off easy.

Once you have the fort captured you want to hold it. Scratch that, You NEED to hold it. It's a good idea to make sure that at least half the players stay there to defend it. The other half can go off and attempt to pursue any enemies falling back and try to capture or recapture any locations that have taken from them.

Take note when you respawn and you are passing either the barracks or the lighthouse on you way back to the fort to see if it is under your armies control. If it's not then you should definitely capture it.
